Envirolloy - Alloy Chrome
Substitute (ACS) is a unique, new development in plating technology that
offers decorative chrome performance without the expense, hazards and environmental
problems of decorative chrome. It offers a non-tarnishing finish that provide superior
salt spray performance compared to decorative hexavalent & trivalent chrome plating
solutions.Envirolloy ACS
is recommended for plating over nickel and steel to produce a bright, stain-free
chrome-like deposit. This economical alloy plating process can be utilized for either rack
or barrel applications.
Envirolloy ACS offers outstanding
throwing and covering power, plate distribution, a very wide bright plating range, faster
plating rates, superior corrosion resistance as compared to typical proprietary decorative
chrome systems. It features brighter, smoother deposits that are not sensitive to
momentary current interruptions.
Envirolloy ACS produces a
white-bright bluish color that duplicates the appearance of decorative chrome plating
baths. It is not dark like trivalent chrome, or yellow or pink like nickel or cobalt
alloys. It provides a consistent, reproducible color and corrosion protection over the
entire current density range from load to load.
Envirolloy ACS is easy to
control. All component chemistry are traceable and can be quickly and easily analyzed at
the A Brite Technical Service Center. Most importantly ACS's unique formulation
is environmentally friendly, fume-free and easy to waste treat.
